The Good News of Jesus Christ
Without a doubt, God loves you: “This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him” (1 John 4:9).
No greater love could have been shown by God but to send His Son to die for you so you can have forgiveness of sins. But that is only half of the story. God has now asked you to love him back.
How do we do this?
It is more than having a feeling of love toward God. “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love” (2 John 1:6).
“This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome...”(1 John 5:3).
To be obedient to God’s commands is to show our love for God. These are the conditions God has asked us to meet to receive the forgiveness of sins:
+ Believe that Jesus is the Son of God
(1 John 5:5; Hebrews 11:6)+ Turn your life to God (Repentance)
(Acts 17:30; Acts 2:38)+ Confess
(Acts 8:37; Romans 10:9-10)+ Be baptized
(Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21)+ Live faithfully for the Lord
(Romans 6:1-4; 1 John 2:6)
We would be happy to meet with you and study with you about these things to help you meet God’s conditions to receive His grace. God loves every person but requires everyone to obey His commands. “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). How can we help you?
You are our honored guest. We hope you enjoy your time on this site. Please feel free to ask us any questions you might have.
Have you ever wondered what the Bible is all about?
Do you know many Bible stories but do not know how they all fit together?
Have you been wanting to know more about the Bible?
Do want to know what God's plan is for you?
Visit our Know Your Bible page to find some answers...
We encourage you to make some time and read the book of Acts.
This book shows us how people in the first century became Christians, and what they did once they were Christians. Find out what the commands of God are so that you can obey them to show God your love and thankfulness for what He has done for you. We would be happy to study with you about these things.
